This is a real Shelby Cobra, not a replica. Built in 2012, this Continuation Series Cobra is painted Guardsman Blue with Wimbledon White stripes, it was manufactured by Shelby American and sold new as a finished rolling chassis.
Shelby equipment includes coil-over suspension, rack & pinion steering, independent rear end with a Salisbury differential, and 4" round tube frame. Original style Smiths gauges in S/C configuration and glove box complement the interior.
The powertrain was installed that same year and delivered to the new owner, who had a large collection of classic cars. The current owner bought it at the Barrett Jackson auction from the estate of the original owner and has perfectly maintained it. It is flawless, and in brand new condition. A total of only 449 miles have been logged on the odometer since new. No rock chips, road rash, or other blemishes.
The side oiler engine was built by the Carroll Shelby Engine Company and is mated with a TKO600 five speed transmission, literally delivering more power than you can put on the ground. Headers and side exhaust are ceramic coated to keep them looking new forever. Six pin Halibrand style wheels are shod with “Billboard” Goodyear race tires to complete the look of the original S/C.
